About Wasatch Allergy

Wasatch Allergy and Asthma is a specialty medical practice with offices in Salt Lake City and Riverton, Utah. Respected allergist Eric Chenworth, DO, leads the highly trained and compassionate team at Wasatch Allergy and Asthma. They routinely diagnose and treat allergies, asthma, and related conditions using the latest medical knowledge and technology.

Utah is a picturesque state that benefits from a diverse ecology, and residents can enjoy numerous outdoor activities and recreational opportunities. However, many people suffer from allergy problems in Utah and the surrounding areas. In fact, there are more men, women, and children in Utah with allergies and asthma than most other parts of the United States. This is partly due to residents experiencing similar levels of pollen exposure as people in other areas of the country combined with the more unusual pollens present in the Intermountain West, such as sagebrush and juniper.

Additionally, air quality on the Wasatch front is less than optimal throughout much of the year. Poor air quality contributes to both allergy and asthma problems, as well as causing other health issues. Poor air quality is likely to worsen the inflammatory effects of pollen exposure and lead to increasing numbers of patients with asthma, chronic sinus problems, nasal conditions, and eye allergy issues.

The team members at Wasatch Allergy and Asthma have unrivaled expertise in providing accurate diagnosis and a range of treatments for patients. They use therapies like immunotherapy (allergy shots), rescue inhalers, inhaled and oral steroids, and other medications, and provide practical help to improve your quality of life. Conditions the team specializes in include allergies to pets, chronic sinusitis, insect allergies, food allergies, seasonal allergies, eczema, hives, and anaphylaxis.
