5 Steps to Allergy Free Spring:

1- Keep the outdoors outside:

· Keep windows closed, run the air conditioner instead

· Keep pets, and the pollens they carry around, out of the bedroom

2- The pollen count is highest in the morning. Limit exposure by doing yardwork and outdoor

exercise later in the day.

3- Wash yourself and your clothes after allergen exposure, especially when pollen counts are


4- Start anti-allergy medications before allergy season starts. These medications include oral

anti-histamines and nasal sprays. Nasal/sinus rinses are also very helpful.

5- Allergen immunotherapy for allergies unresponsive to medications.
