Allergen immunotherapy (or allergy shots) is a treatment that is frequently used to help people with allergy problems and allergic asthma. Allergen immunotherapy can reduce symptoms, lessen the need for medications, and improve quality-of-life. One of the barriers that people have faced in the past in terms of allergen immunotherapy is the duration of time required to build up to a therapeutic dose. In order to hasten the process, we can perform a type of rapid immunotherapy (cluster immunotherapy) which significantly decreases the amount of time it takes to build up to a therapeutic dose. This allows people to see the benefits from their allergy shots much sooner. If you have questions about rapid allergen immunotherapy please feel free to call us.
